Presentations
Over the past 20 years Nancy has made more than 60 presentations on the material in her books. These presentations have been at both conferences and at trainings offered at her center.
Nancy has been a repeat presenter at the Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders, the Carolinas Conference for Addiction and Recovery, Addiction: Focus on Women, the Virginia Summer Institute for Addiction Studies, the American Mental Health Counselors Association Annual Conference, and the Virginia Counselors Association Annual Conference.
Popular sessions she has presented in these professional settings include:
“Treating Codependence”
“When You’ve Lost Your Self in Someone Else:
Working with the Dynamics of Codependence”
“Working with Codependent Behaviors:
Practical Ways to Help Individual Understand, Manage, and Develop Their Self”
“Working with Codependent Behaviors:
Guiding Lights for Self Health”
“Healthy Boundaries, Healthy Self”
During these same ten years, Nancy has offered trainings at her center on the material in Disentangle: When You’ve Lost Your Self in Someone Else. These trainings are open to the public, average 6 hours in length, and are limited to 6 participants at a time. These trainings are designed for understanding the four areas of work delineated in the book – Illusions, Detaching, Boundaries, and Spirituality – and for learning to apply them to self. Group follow-up sessions are sometimes made available for extended work and growth.
